If I increase the resolution to 1280 x 1024, everything looks too small for these eyes. :)

    Comment on bigger pictures

For me, there is a small problem due to the larger picture size: I use a laptop with a 14" 1280x800 screen and I never bother with a larger external monitor. The problem is that the pictures are taller as well as wider, and now I can't see all the text and the whole picture at the same time. It's surprisingly distracting to me to only see the top half of a picture while reading the description so I spent a lot of time scrolling up and down on the review.

This problem - such as it is - is only going to affect devices like mine that have a relatively low resolution, wide-screen display. I haven't bought an LCD screen in a while, and I see that a bunch of 19" models run at 1336x768 (720p), so those would also have the same "problem," and I guess most netbooks would as well.

I finally kicked the 800x600 habit. Am now on a 22" HD at 1600x900 (and broadband ISP!). I like my browser width a little less than 1600 so the main shortcuts on my desktop still show. Also I run my browser magnification at 125% to make tiny fonts easier. For your test shot I needed to scroll right just a bit. No big deal, I think your test shot size was fine.
