Searching for my next boat and I have come across a Bank Owned 57ft Vantare. I understand this was a Seattle company from 1989 till 2001 with the boats built in Taiwan by Chung Hwa, the same crew that built the Marine Trader and CHB hulls. Can't really find any addition information on the quality of the boats or value. looking for any input. I'm looking at a boat to be a full time live-board while cruising. Cruising grounds would be Northern California for the next few years but the 5-10 year goal would be to take it south through the canal and up the east coast. Understand the boat has twin DD692s with around 1800 hours that doesn't sound like much for these two strokes and a beam of 17 1/2 not sure if either is cause for concern. As always appreciate you advice

Believe that to be a cored hull, had real problems with one here in Fl. Depending on how hard the boat was run and what care it has had, that may be about it for the life of those engines. In hard recreational use it is rare to see them with over 2000 hours and still run well. IMO
