Okay, so perhaps the door opens all the way down so rafts slide down? The one line on the right may just be for holding the door during maintenance (notice missing line on the left).

With Hurricane Earl threatening the northeast U.S. in a few days, I'm wondering how they'll protect her. Even though the track right now keeps the eye off the coast, this is a big storm, currently Cat-4 with hurricane strength winds extending 70 miles from center and tropical storm force winds extending 200 miles. You will definitely feel some fo the storm across LI Sound and other areas even of it loses steam, down to Cat-2 or so. Maybe they need to put her back in drydock so other boats and debris don't hit her?:D

Of course photos don't due the proper justice as to the majestry of Cakewalk, but here's another teaser shot. Can't wait for Derecktor's release of the official photos. I'm really enjoying the strong shear line.

    Ron,
Funny thing is the earlier photos and this one were taken on different days, and I had a little more time to search out good shooting locations. I do have more exterior shots, but I think the shots from me and CTDave give an idea. It would be great to get on and shoot the exterior of Cakewalk, although the interior I'm sure will be fabulous, too.

Just got back from a sea-trial on Cakewalk. Hired a heli to take a few shots. You can see Bridgeport in the background... :D

And then some. It's one of the dozens of renders commissioned before building Cakewalk. I've attached yet another; this one was used to usher in 2010 on YF's splash page...

    Hi Ken,

If you study that Flickr pic close-up, you will see a picture of a mermaid on the top deck. It is actually a mosaic of tile that creates the image.

I spent a couple of hours on Cakewalk. I needed a couple of days. It isn't a yacht. It's a city. A full YF review is forthcoming, although I don't know if we have enough bandwidth.

Always good news to hear when you are going to do a review. Can't wait
