Your gallery with photos uses the original names for the yachts. Many of them have of course changed names since their launch.

One of those well known Feadships with many different names is the Van Lent FIFFANELLA.

She was originally launched as FIFFANELLA for a US owner. later she was sold to a Japanese businessman who kept her original name.

After her Japanese period she was bought by Charles Gallagher who not only gave her a complete refit but also rechristented her CAKEWALK. After he experienced the Feadship kind of yachting, he went on to his next Feadship, the magnificent CAKEWALK and he sold the smaller CAKEWALK to Greg Norman who rechristened her AUSSIE RULES.

We all know that Norman also had bigger plans and so he sold her again to a new owner who gave her her fourth name : IRISH ROVER.

Recently she was resold again and now she carries the name of SILVER CLOUD. Not bad for a yacht of about 15 years old.

    Hi Chris!

You raised good points. Allow me to explain...

I titled the pictures in the owners forum with the original names many of these yachts were delivered with, or the name that has been most associated with that particular vessel. This helps many enthusiasts, owners, brokers, etc. recognize the yacht when they see it. Unfortunately, names change and it is sometimes hard to keep track of this data.

Whenever possible, it would be nice if members, who know the history of the yacht, could enlighten the rest of us as to: name changes, re-fits, etc. It helps to keep things interesting and encourages participation.

Okay, time to revive this thread! So I read that the 2008 Feadship F45 built as "TV" is now "Madsummer"? The yacht built as "Madsummer" by Lurssen is now "TV" undergoing refit at the moment...it's a lil confusing...

The Feadship TV / Madsummer has not been sold yet. Her Mexican owner bought the Lürssen Madsummer, changed the name to TV, changed the name of the Feadship to Madsummer and put her up for sale.

The Lürssen is going to the yard for a paintjob. I wonder if she's going to change colors ? It wouldn't surprise me...

Hey Christo...long time no see :)

If you were recently following the posts of Capt Tom and others, you would have seen that the Lurssen "TV" is being painted. The hull is to be grey if I remember correctly.

I think I remember her being up for sale...but I didn't know she was sold. Much like "JeMaSa" changed hands really fast..sporting the name "Hadia" now...in fact she is here currently.
