Flush decks have big aft decks with plenty of room for line handling. No need to get on the platform which is just plain dumb when docking
I probably should look at the next size down, a 53 perhaps, would that be a flush deck like yours? The 61/63 is too big for a single guy, (in case mama kicks me out, will miss my dog.) Time will tell, maybe I won’t need a liveaboard boat after all but as a former Boy Scout I always look at plan B, just in case.
Hang on, You keep dat puppy.. Move in on our Bertram if you AND puppy need a dawg house. However, Just don't piss off da missis and all of this just may be a bad dream. They don't ever get over it. Remember I have two exes and their not in Texas.
Aye. Thx for the offer, much appreciated but the storm has passed, or so it seems. Being married to an artist is a lot of work, it is all about temper, emotions and drama, never dull. I will lay low in the terrain and stay out of trouble for a while…
Just don't ever get close to what ever topic this rub was about. If it was a real bad storm, it will never completely pass. Like a good boy scout, be better prepared when it does return. Brotherly advice; I usually ignore it and don't engage when it returns. Big down wind reach, fast and far aweigh at the same time helps also (ie; retreat, run like heck, do not say a thing)..
Ha, all good advice for sure. The clouds have passed and sun is shining now that she won Best in Show at a watercolor exhibition in Bradenton, FL. When Mama is Happy, Everyone is Happy
Great looking trawler, probably a one-off built in Canada. Single diesel, a great Bahamas boat for us old sailors. Dear Santa..
Not sure either but me think it is a Canadian custom build from a yard doing commercial fishing boats.
Portuguese bridge and no aft for a commercial fishing boat? I'm kind of liking the design my self. I fear all inside is a crawling maze (jungle gym) for cabin to cabin to helm to galley to saloon to aft deck. Typical for all of these quick designs. Not good for bad hips and knees. Build that on two level decks and I could get excited.
interesting name and vessel, simple solution, since you last posted a Hatteras, buy a Hatteras nameplate, and affix to this unknown build, problem solved and happy voyaging aboard the "In Decent Seas" or perhaps "In Recent Seas "....
Good idea, make it a Hatt and join the club Still only fantasizing about a bigger boat and living aboard. It is tempting, but I am so used to living on land now that I may be too soft for that lifestyle. Or maybe not.. That unknown trawler seems to have a rather flat bottom, or just the angle of the picture, if so it wouldn’t be good for crossing the Gulfstream.
What's wrong with crossing da stream in this? Has to be better than that 17 CC that was falling apart while crossing, but he did make it.
But of course, everything is better than the 17cc but I would rather have a bottom and a bow that wasn’t flat, it would slam and bang its way over. A Sportfish hull would do it better, I have seen them cross in snotty weather numerous times. The trawler on the picture has a small single diesel so, 200 hp or thereabouts, it would need 8 hours to cross da Stream, need a good ride then.
