   Anyone know if the salon door frame is teak or mahogony? Ours is painted and the paint is letting go. If it's teak or mahogony I'll likely strip back to wood instead of trying to patch the AwlGrip.

   Pretty sure not teak. Probably not mahogany either.
   Your chipping looks likes more like incompatible paint, so you are probably will have to sand to a base paint layer, then epoxy seal all before your final coat of Awlgrip or like paint.
