Love how the Damen project manager said “She is the third from this all-new YS53 design and is a great example of our Yacht Supports which are built for purpose and non-stop reliability” when Bad Company Support 175 has been nothing but problems.

Any info on this?

Blew one of the engines during sea trials. Did a whole rebuild and then blew it again. Had to have the whole engine replaced. I believe this was about a 6 month ordeal. A couple other issues happened but the latest is the fresh water main broke and flooded all the guest accommodations. I think it will be 6 months to remediate all the damage from this.

Wow Sheet. That was a bad start to a new build.
I can understand quickly if the new boat owner is a lil bummed.

I remember the early support boats converting from offshore oil rig supply boats. I luved the work they did on what they started with. Always kept an eye open on these all new builds.
It is real hard to call these new rigs "Support Vessels" when they look better (to me) than what they are supposed to be supporting.
