Looking for owners of Azimut Atlantis 43, 45 or 51....How do you rate Azimut quality. I am familiar with past quality issues with Brazilian factory....but now, in 2021 how is the Azimut quality? I'm interested in Atlantis 45 which as volvo penta D6 and garmin glass helm. Seems like a very nice setup but I am hoping that Azimut has improved their electrical installations etc. It is nothing like a current owner to shed some light. Thanks in advance.

Trying to state this objectively although opinions are included based on significant long term observations. The build quality of the boat itself, the hull and superstructure is generally good. Things like electrical and plumbing installations and other interior installations are inconsistent but can all ultimately be fixed. However, the real weakness in the US is that all warranty work is handled by Marine Max with them making the final decision, not Azimut. Historically, that service has been lousy.

Is M M still covering Muts warranty?

To help the O P; There are some supporters of Muts in this forum. Not many, just some.

Many of us are from the U.S. service side of yacht repair after the warranty (joke) has been exhausted.
I would rather pull my own teeth than work on another Mut.

Please look over the many threads on this site regarding this floating debris.

    BTW, Welcome to Yacht Forums.

100% in control of their warranty.

Wonders of the world amaze me sometimes.
They stopped selling them, but still try to service them?

To help the OP; Not many fans here of Marine Max either.
However, they have had some changes that have not been experienced yet. Maybe some hope for them.

What do you mean they stopped selling them? They and Alexander, which they are affiliated with are the only US dealers.

I recently ran a 50' Atlantis, boat was a 2014. Had huge cracks on the hardtop on both sides just aft of the windshield. The build quality to me was less than stellar by all means.

Short answer I don't know, 'cause the more recent Atlantis I've seen was a 58, built 8 or 9 years ago.
And FWIW, she was a decently built boat, but very different from what you are now considering.
In this respect, if (as I read between the lines) you are thinking to buy a boat as a keeper, in your boots I'd rather run than walk away from anything IPS powered, not just the Atlantis 45.
But if my understanding is wrong, and you are thinking to keep the boat just for as long as the warranty lasts, then IPS and their gizmos could be fun, before passing on all their headaches to the next owner.

Hum, I recall no new mut orders and Galeon was quickly picked up to fill the sales line.

I believe you're thinking of the Searay shift to smaller boats only

Finally out of gator laden waters and into Dolphins waters. Dropped the hook just north of downtown Jax minutes ago.
Been pondering my comment thru the day. Dodging crabbers and Tugs while in some respectable rain pours, down bound in the St-Johns river all day kept me from responding till just now.
Yes, I must of spoke (typed) in great error. Thank you kindly OB for the point-out and MBevins for what was my error in thinking.

I still don't have much to say kindly about either MM or da Muts.

Azimut Atlantis is the entry level brand sport cruiser brand of the Azimut-Benetti Group.
The quality of interiors is kinda in a level between a Prestige and an Azimut.

43 sold really well over 200 and since 2020 replaced by new 45, which is IMO nicer and better boat and with IPS.
The thing with the 43 is that it is a big boat with stern drives, so you have to be careful and do maintenance to the letter on those Volvo DPH drives.
51 is again a nice boat big IPS engine, really nice open aft deck. Possibly a bit unique today as the only alternative is the Princess V50 Open to it which costs like 20% more.
Having been on both I think the Atlantis is the better sea boat, although the perceived quality on the Princess is better.
