Put a bid in today and it was accepted so -I need a Cat mechanic and a great survey guy (very thorough) for a boat we put a bid in on today. I would prefer some IR Thermography on the hull in addition to simply tapping with the hammer and moisture meter. I have not had particularly good luck with survey guys in the past— Guys who missed big expensive issues on boats in the past.
    Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

Get your Hull surveyor. Then get a separate AC tech to evaluate ACs. Separate electrical survey. A hull surveyor can’t really find all the issues.. i.e. AC is working now.

Use Florida Nautical out of Fort Lauderdale. You're not going to find a "big boat" surveyor on the West coast. CAT can use a CAT dealer.

What size yacht is it? I've never seen someone call an A/C tech out on a yacht under 100' or so. But basically chillers work as they're supposed to, or they don't.

‘Really just 58 its 63.5 with pulpit — so 58’ I wanted to be super thorough as I dont want surprises (I know they will come) I didnt count but I cant imagine there is anymore than 5? It’s only 3 staterooms and 2 heads — it isn’t a yacht— its just a boat

Get a good hull surveyor and an engine surveyor and call it a day.
