Wondering what average rates people are paying down here in SoFl

    This is what I pay...

    - diver $2 a foot monthly
    - wash, $2 topside every 1 to 2 weeks, $2 hull (below rub rail), usually every 3 to 4 weeks
    - compound and wax, $20 a foot topside, $20 a foot hull
    - wax only, $10 topsides, $10 hull

It really depends on the size of the boat, the condition of the gelcoat/paint, the style of boat......and whether or not your people are licensed AND insured.......

That makes sense. Would a detailer charge the same for an express as for a FBMY or for a mono-hull as a multi-hull. Some marinas take a kick back. The distance the detailers travel and how many other jobs they may have in a marina all must be considered. Certainly more would be charged at someplace like Bahia Mar than at some lesser back water marina. Contract or one shot wash? Also how much of a PITA is the customer? Each job has to be individually bid.

Talking 80 footer, washed regularly, compound n wax every 9 months, waxed every 4 to 5 months.

most guys here charge the same whether it s a 45 footer or 90 footer.

They're either giving away a lot of sq.ft. and man hours on the 90 or socking it to the 45.
