A new hull is on its way to to Kaag to be finished at the Feadship facility there where it will re-emerge in 2021. Details are scarce at the moment on the 71.50-meter designated as Hull 819. We can see the hull is built in steel and the superstructure in aluminum from the NMC yard. No real surprises or departure from the traditional with this vessel having a conventional flared bow and regularly proportionate lines.
I wonder if she's the replacement for Vanish. Looking at the available pics, the designs are extremely similar.
So the Feadship former "Vanish".. which is now called "Hampshire" was built as hull 809... the new Feadship Project 'Galina' is Hull 819...and has similar lines and design cues! Here is a look back at the former Vanish for comparison.
It's interesting that he only kept the 'old' Vanish a few years before upgrading to this design which is extremely similar to the old design but not much bigger at all. Would love to know what he he felt he was missing with the old yacht that is solved by this very incremental step-up.
Emphasis on very incremental. It is jus a slight upgrade to the exterior styling and deck spaces. I'd hope the interior is markedly different to the predecessor so make it worth it.
The new "Vanish" has been delivered...see her in this video alongside in Gibraltar for the first time.
