And cars don't have hood ornaments anymore. I saw a Jaguar the other day and it looked like a Ford. It's gotten to where to tell one boat from another you have to look at things like the vents. As you'll see in anther thread the symbol on Ocean Yachts requires occasional varnishing. Too much work for some, and I guess some marketing geniuses think they can cut a price by $10 if they take off the boat's signature or maybe they want to blur the differences between them and a better boat. To me it's those little touches that show pride in your ride or your product. I'm thinking about painting my bike in the near future, but no way will Harley Davidson not be on my tank.

Nothing wrong with that answer. My 91 46 came with them and they show "the pride in my ride".

Whenever I pulled into a slip with Valhalla, and especially when it was one of those tight jobs when you know everyone on the dock is watching, my chest pumped out a little further knowing they all saw Hatteras on her side and even the uninitiated knew what it meant. It meant I didn't belong at her helm if I screwed up. lol. Fortunately I didn't.

I went to a company called DGM Chrome Plating
    This was 2016
    10 " cleat - $ 55.00
    Hauser - $ 40.00
    Post Script - $ 45.00
    Shipping handling $ 10.00
The guy was easy to deal with and explained to me the process.
You can reach him at dgm at dgmchrome dot com
