Ha, some of us may have the future behind us, but will consider it if the technology comes down to us guys buying $85 plastic props.

    Speaking of future props:
The Sharrow Marine props looks real interesting: Like an airplane with winglets, big savings in fuel as the efficiency goes up.

Just use it in each direction for about 5 seconds, weekly.

Lots of our boat baby sitting included running the thrusters real vigorously while on the dock every two weeks.
The divers were all so happy. They just rubbed the last of the stuff away without any scrappers, vs the rest of the boat...

There was another YF thread on this. I am feared the new proud owner (sucker) did not follow up with us.

I'm running an experiment with prop speed. I coated both the tunnel and the props with it this round, and I'll try to remember to share outcomes. So, thus far the stuff is on the shafts, props, rudders, and tab bottoms...and now along with the thruster tunnel and props.

I've been using Pettit Vivid bottom paint on my and it has worked really well. I've been using in Florida waters for about 3 years. I did buy a spare prop from Vetus. I have that one ready to go so if my diver needs to replace it he grabs it and installs it along with a new zinc. I take the one that came off and sand it and repaint it as well so we keep a spare on hand.
