Hello all....did pressure test on the coolant side of the motor and all was well after the rebuild...during test run on the motor I noticed an occasional coolant drip from the fresh water pump...appears to be coming out of the shaft area...I assume rebuild is needed..are the bearings pressed in or is just a simple rebuild job with gaskets and seal rings? Schematic doesn't notate if the bearings are pressed in or not
I'm in Gainesville now. Big day tomorrow. I can't look up beans on this **** phone. Did we already talk about this pump?
Negative..you did ask if it was high performance or regular but that was as far as we got on it as my overheating problem happened gradually over the summer...
Where do you buy these reman pumps? JT wants $315...saw them on ebay for $180 hi flow or $100 regular flow...how do I know which one I have?
That being said, I'd be really hesitant of buying a rebuilt one off of ebay. Just think of all of the labor of dropping the coolant, adding coolant, taking all of the crap off of the front of the motor to get to it, etc. etc. to possibly save $100 or so.
FYI...Napa has these water pumps in stock, hi capacity for $92! Just passing along what I have found with a years warranty
