Hello all....did pressure test on the coolant side of the motor and all was well after the rebuild...during test run on the motor I noticed an occasional coolant drip from the fresh water pump...appears to be coming out of the shaft area...I assume rebuild is needed..are the bearings pressed in or is just a simple rebuild job with gaskets and seal rings? Schematic doesn't notate if the bearings are pressed in or not

Not sure, most DD shops could answer your question.

How can you tell if it is high capacity or are all J&T high capacity pumps?

How much pressure did you pump up? Max testing pressure is 8 psi.

Some pumps are field servicable. Your dad shop should be able to help.

Negative..you did ask if it was high performance or regular but that was as far as we got on it as my overheating problem happened gradually over the summer...

Call a DD shop with serial number on your engine and they should be able to look it up.

That being said, I'd be really hesitant of buying a rebuilt one off of ebay. Just think of all of the labor of dropping the coolant, adding coolant, taking all of the crap off of the front of the motor to get to it, etc. etc. to possibly save $100 or so.
