A new superyacht has been launched from custom builder Lurssen, their first for the year. She goes under project name Hawaii and is 87-meters long with a Bannenberg & Rowell design.

With a large 'A' painted on the bow helipad any guesses who this new yacht is for? Remember "ACE" has 'A' on the bow helipad too and she is for sale BUT she is a cream yacht, this yacht is white. "Areti" is also a Lurssen that was sold and was white.

Good looking design if you ask me, again confused how close to complete it came out as opposed to most others, but thats what Lurssen does it always has a surprise in store:) Also I wish we had about 100 more users interested in mega yachts, its sad to see a Lurssen launch with zero replies after so many hours, not much activity... I wonder how we can add more users on this board so we can have a fluid discussion just like they do on General Discussion forum when its related to center consoles and Sport Fishers @YachtForums

I can agree it is a good looking design, at least compared to what has been built in the last twenty years. But I guess many of the members here are too polite to say what they think of these multimillion dollar dreams...

Considering her length I don't think she's a successor to either Ace or Areti, who are about the same size as Project Hawaii. But I might be wrong.

I read and daydream (drool) over near all of these big boat post. Always impressed with all the work and research you kids put into it.
However, I just push and work on lil canoes no more than 100 tones. I would not know how to ask my first question regarding these big beauties.
Ask Carl for a hit count. Your work is read and appreciated.

I get what you are saying but there are some owners out there that like to build yachts for the experience of the process and the next yacht is not always a step up in length and GT. "Amatasia" is around 85-meters, this is 2-meters longer so not much of a step up but the design just has so many similarities to Amatasia...

Anything is possible, but I'd be surprised as well if she's a successor to Ace. B&R is the interior designer and their style is usually very different from Ace's interior. And since Garcon is for sale along with Ace, I would guess any replacement might be larger and no longer require a support vessel.

Hawaii is a very nice design, I hope we get to see more of her.

Yes, I agree, Hawaii design turned to be very nice, but it reminds me very much the design of earlier Lurssen yacht - Project Orchid (Lady Lara) of Reymond & Langton built in 2015. After thinking it over I came to conclusion that Hawaii design is a mere combination of Lady Lara and the yacht Joy (B&R design) built by Feadship in 2016.
Nevertheless in result Hawaii, no doubt, is more beautiful and elegant than the Ace.

I also doubt Hawaii is a successor to Ace, would expect a bit more daring desing from that owner.

Also now after analyzing the letters on the bow of both Hawaii and Ace I’m going to go ahead and speculate hawaii is the successor to Ace.

I think the owner of Ace really likes tennis terminology as inspiration

Man, this is sweet! Not just the close pass but hearing the exchange between this classic paddler and a brand new modern superyacht. Don't see this kind of thing often.
