Its on a 1963 roamer 36ft, system just quit about a week ago. Anyone know where the hull contacts are located or common problems , its about impossible to follow wires through the boat. Is there a replacement for it. Thanks

You have to replace the part on the bottom of the hull every 7-10 years as they do wear out.

If the cathode on the bottom of your vessel was painted over than yes, that would be a problem. This cathode will look like an 6" - 8" or so flat saucer with a round metallic disk inset into the center. The disk has to be in direct contact with H-2/0.

Got it CR ! Thank you. It’s not a relevant thing to have on a fiberglass boat of any size I assume ?
Or boat material doesn’t matter ?

Not for FRP hulls. Bronze and Stainless with a few zincs still dominate metal protection here.
But Mercury/MerCruiser does support their own product that protects I/Os and Zeus pods using the same technology, just much smaller scale. I think it works here.

This. Take a look to see if the cathode was painted by mistake. Happens from time to time.

They won't work if you bottom paint over it. So that might be your issue.
