I read (somewhere else) the original yard was getting tight. The original will remain open. Some larger builds will move to Tennessee and the build crews. Both yards will remain in production for now.

I must be missing something. How are they going to deliver 225' yachts that they built in land-locked Tennessee?

    Strong backs.

Tenn/Tom and other waterways leed into the valley and Mississippi river, out to the GOM.

That's wild. I never would have though you could navigate that far east in Tennessee. I live in Atlanta and have been rafting on the Tellico river upstream from the reservoir. It's a fantastic white water area. They must have some canal system downstream of the reservoir because I know there are some other (much more tame) rafting areas as well.

Can be done. So far never has been by them or anyone else. Smallest locks are 360 x 60.

Luken has had his past 50 meter "Liquidity" on the Tennessee River in Chattanooga for University of Tennessee football games before and a couple of 48 meter Delta's also have had UT alumni floating tailgate parties around the corner from Lookout Mountain in the past. Plenty of barge/push boat as long as 65-70 meters transiting down the river into the Tenn-Tomm and locks so its not unreasonable to assume the possibilities with the locks size exceeding what they're proposing.

The new location should be a helluva lot easier to launch too...

Not saying boats that size haven't been there, just they haven't been built there.

No problems with the locks. None with navigating as the channel is maintained for the tows and barges.
