When I purchased my 1998 47' Post, it was missing the fighting chair. I am a cruiser and not so much a fisherman. I am looking to put a table in the cockpit where the fighting chair was. Has anyone done this and or know the pedestal base size?

I believe your fighting chair was probably from an outside vendor and not specific to Post. Any label on the deck plate? Can you measure the hole size? You probably can purchase a pedestal table that will fit right. Try a net search eg Arrigoni in CT. I may be spelling that incorrectly. But they have some nice teak applications reasonably priced.

Also, if there was a chair installed at one point that probably means the cockpit was reinforced in that area - check that.

I second the suggestion of contacting Arrigoni. The make/sell cockpit tables that I'm sure could be costumed to fit the fighting chair base.

I purchased a high/low table from them years ago. They are a bit pricey but make quality stuff. They also go to all the major boat shows.
