Tender setup? Size??

I’ve got a 13’ walker bay with a 70hp Yamaha on the bow of my ocean 55SS. Fully hydraulic SM1500 crane. Launch and retrieve is done in minutes single handed.

The 50 and 70 weigh almost the same. We use it for extensive touring and some waterskiing.

On a 50 ft Post, you should be able to fit a 13 ft Aluminium hull rib with a simple tiller steered outboard. I have an 11 ft avon rib with steering and a yamaha 20 hp 4 stroke with electric start and power trim. After the trim motor went bad ($500) fix I have decided to sell the current setup and go with something simpler. I dont need such a complex setup for my use and plus the console and seating take up too much usable space.
Another advantage of the simple setup is that if you have an issue with the davit, you could simply remove the outboard and then man handle the dingy into the water, and then lower the outboard down after. The back up winch handle on a davit is not exactly fun to use(speaking from experience and sore hands). good luck with your search

Ralph I have a 13’ AB with a 60hp OB. Everybody says that thing must fly. But it is not very fast. 30-35 MPH max. It will however plane with a lot of weight in it. I previously had a 12 AB with a 40HP and that was similar in that it was not that fast but would plane a heavy load. Both of them needed tabs or planing fins to eliminate porposing at cruise speed. I have always been a fan of mounting the biggest OB allowed on a boat but I am not sure that is good advice on an inflatable. Also Capt J may have said something about 4 bladed props will plane (any boat or just inflatables???) with less bow rise and is a good fit for a tender. I plan on trying a 4 blade prop for mine.

I would get a nice sweet 16' Donzi, white with blue racing stripe, white interior/ trim ......

Really though, I would look for a classic 11' Whaler, not the 13' footer...with 10/20 hp. Anything inflatable IMO, just doesn't last. The sun , weather, use, just kills the rubber etc. They also will leak sooner or later.

No silly...I wouldn't have to get under it. I would have 316 mirror finished stainless steel sheet under each chock to guide her down along with two brass pole support columns under each chock from keel up to the under side of the deck and chock. It would be just like a blow boat with that annoying mast that comes down through the interior. You would get use to it. Also the poles/columns would give you something to hang/attach things from.

Won't you want the tender as far aft on the front deck as possible ?
