having an issue with a 9 year old KVH M7. Turned out to the slip ring in the base which can only repaired by the factory. Not just expensive but also at least 3 weeks downtime as it has to be shipped truck to CT Not sure about spending maybe $1500 on an almost 10 year old system Options are new KVH TV6 or intellian M6 KVH is a little more expensive but installer says the new control box is gets hot and must be installed in air conditioned space. Apparently they build a lot of heat. He s replaces a few Anyone heard anything about that? Leaning towards the intellian.
My SeaKing RJ9818 went south about two months ago. Its was a 2007 model. My repairman stated I could have it repaired but that in another few months it would be useless. Something that Directv is doing with the signal. Make a long story short I purchased a Trackvision TV5.
Did you keep the SeeKing dome. Have a customer that does not need H D TV. Bad motor on the vertical traveler.
