An old girlfriend posted a photo of me on our first Atlantic crossing from 1987 on the 65m Katalina II.

I had to ask her "Is that really me"?

My first crossing was the summer of 1974. Departed Port Everglades and arrived in a foreign country a couple hours later. Does Bimini count as a crossing?

My very first crossing anywhere was to West End from Lake Worth.
The Jack Tar Hotel was just reclaimed from the bad guys and it looked like a war zone from an old movie.
Not the sunny welcome I had expected.

Our member KIWI will confirm that I'm still that skinny and blond. The jeans have gone from a 28 to a 32 now after 30 years.

    Yo Fish.
    Looks like easy duty..
Here is me in 1974: Just crossed the Atlantic and the Pacific, got us a monkey in Borneo.
(Me to the left, skinny guy, no hairs on the chest, 17 years old.)

Today’s photo, as in before and after. Less hair, more body. Chicks love it.

Aye Capt Ralph: I was a guest, owner of the beer tap shot the picture. The bikini girls went into hiding. Bless their little Columbian hearths:)

Yup, a good neighbor to have, unlimited beer supply and numerous bikini girls around the pool. (Telling wife I am going to the gym, win-win)
