Bought a 2005 .....thought it had a 28 gal. tank.....only has an 11 gal. Any suggestions for a larger one .
There is no way the holding tank from the factory is 11 gallons on that boat. It should be closer to 40 gallons. You're going to be limited to the floor opening to fit a larger one, but they came from the factory with a much larger tank.
Agree your tank should be 40 gal or very close to. There maybe two separate holding tanks that are put together. One maybe 11 gal and the other 28gal.
Holding tank pic on a 40 FB. Looks like 22 gallons after conversion from liters. Oversize pic removed.
Unfortunately from the picture I cannot tell anything. My friends 2007 40 Cabo has the same holding tank as I do.
Skip, If you click on the pic it is then in proper resolution. It just has a placard showing the size being 83 liters.
Ok see that now thanks. I don't know what to say. Any possibility this boat was built for European standards if they may differ. Will also share that when the wife and I are in the Bahamas we get about 3 days before having to empty. Maybe we are full of it not sure.
Skip, My boat for Euro market? No. I am second owner. Original owner ordered boat new with Drew at SJYS and took delivery in NJ. All the 40's I have seen have 95 gal water tank and 22 gal holding tank.
CaboFly, A lot of our readers are on SatNav. Huge pics gobble bandwidth. Please keep images under 800 pixels. Thanks!
22 gallons should be plenty sufficient with a Vaccuflush toilet. I manage a 62’ yacht and it only has a 34 gallon holding tank and with 5 adults living on it, it lasts 2.5 days.
