    Looking at buying a Grand Alaskan 65 2001 with 3126 cats, 3,000 hrs, any comment on this boat or motors would be helpful. The motors have not been rebuilt but have received 3000 hrs service, Also, would any one know if this boat is a cat A rating for unlimited ocean travel?
    All comments would be appreciated.

    There was a nice one here at Plantation Yacht Harbor the last 2 winters. It was not used this past winter, although it was regularly washed. I believe that a hired crew took her out a couple of times, but I did not see the owners at all this winter. Supposedly it spends the summer at Ocean Reef. Named Mimi.

    The owner I believe is from Ocean reef however, they have taken her to Fort Lauderdale for viewing. The boat name is Bear Necessity .
    By the look of your profile you own a Pacific Mariner . Nice Boat !!
