    Hey guys,
New to this site. I'm trying to find the Bomar part # or any information that will help me purchase a hatch that will fit without too much modification.

    2001 Bertram 51' Sportfisher.

    Thanks!

Have you called Bomar? I've heard they are helpful with finding the correct hatch for your boat.

I did contact Bomar. The # on the hatch is too old for them to look up. They want me to pick one out off their online catalogue and accept full responsibility if it's wrong.

We work on old Berts and Hatts. They have never said that to me. Just it takes 4 weeks to make a special order.
You may send the whole hatch to them if it's the style you really want.

Are you sure it's a Bomar?
Sometimes the factory hatch gets replaced with some cheap copy. What size hole do you have and what style do you want would be the best answers to shop with.
Old sales brochures can help ensure the original look if that's your path.

Another source is HighTide Marine in Marathon FL. They are the Bertram Support guys. http://www.hightidemarine.cc/

There should be a sticker on the inside of the rim with a part number. If not measure everything on the hatch and Bertram can look it up.

Working on a hatch now. Looks just like a Bomar. For giggles started looking for the Bomar tag, found the Lewmar sticker.
