Does anyone have books for a 1971 or close, Bertram 35 flybridge, would like to get a copy, thanks David
Weight should be around 22,000 lbs depending what it's got for power and how much stuff's been bolted onto it over the years. If it's a gasser maybe a little less. Great boat. One of Bertram's best ever models.
These kids may help with more specs and maybe a manual lead. The old Bertram web site had some material available but seems all is gone. http://www.hightidemarine.cc
Curious as to how you rank the 35, when going over my mental rankings for classic Bertram's, I would come up with something like this: 31 - the start of it all 54 - true legend, game changer for the company 46 - battled the Hatt 46 and others in a really competitive segment, maybe the best 46? 38 - ruled the under 40' crowd as it could do more than a 35' 42 - solid model in another competitive segment, maybe best 42? 28 - could be ranked higher as they sold so many, a great starter family model 35 - never quite got the sales or reputation level of a Cabo 35, limited bridge seating Not saying it wasn't a robust model, but the others seemed to carve out better market share?
Forgot about the 33, would rank it as the last of the Classics, as the 35' is a better rough water boat.
Found this boat up near Chicago while attending my Daughters wedding,it was a donation boat and had a new rub rail and new fiberglass deck, also freshwater all its life. I shipped it down to Destin first of the year, where it stays now. I also have a 76, 26 that I keep at my house in Athens.
I have a 1970 Bertram 35 foot what gas engines I'm looking for Rutter's and ports also starboard side strut
Worton Creek Marina rebuilds those Berts. They may be of help to you. Their sire is Wortoncreek dot com.
