To start off this thread, San Lorenzo seems to be creating a brand new website. If you visit their normal URL you would see they are telling you that a new website is coming soon...
I wrote a short piece on the 44-meter "Lammouche". However, the San Lorenzo website had all the information there before they took to upgrading the website. www.yachtforums.com/forums/sanlorenzo-yacht/14010-recent-launch-san-lorenzo-44m-lammouche.html
The brand new website that I alluded to back then is up and running. You can access it via the same old url. www.*******************/
Last year San Lorenzo launched three yachts in very quick succession. One of them was a 40-meter Alloy, the latest 40-meter Alloy in fact, her name is "Scorpion". Here's a peep on her interior.
I found a very nice video of the San lorenzo "Scorpion" Filmed by a person onboard. The boat was lying in the harbour of St Tropez. Enjoy. Like ! - YouTube
Came across this very nice puff video Rodriguez Rendez Vous 2012 - YouTube showcasing Rodriguez yachts at a rendezvous. I love companies that market using this kind of event which is fun for everyone including those that just happen to come along the quay that day and get swept up in watching all the fun!
The first 42EXP has been sold! Apparently she was sold at the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS). If you are not familiar with the design, it's a new design from San Lorenzo so it is good they got a first contract for the design. See the below link... Looks like the 46m Trident had a run in. https://instagram.com/p/BLiJIFDjG-_/ https://instagram.com/p/BLgoge0jdRw/
The latest 460EX has been rolled out the shed and is expected to be launched soon. She appears to be called "Ocean's Four". This is the fourth 460EX so far.
The new SX88 looks nice! One thing that I find interesting is the sun deck, which has retractable glass along the side. It's not clear if it does all the way around under the hard top or not. Why isn't this more of an option over isinglass? Weight? It just seems like a better alternative to have actual glass that can be raised to enclose an area than putting up isinglass which doesn't have the best reputation and it would also be a lot quicker to switch. 88' is mostly outside the owner operator range by maybe this one could be somewhat of an exception? If her bathing platform can fit a 16' RIB, she's more like a 72' with a long bathing platform, no?
