Click on the posters name, a pop-up comes up to start a conversation. This is a direct msg system thru the site that is NOT broadcast to the world.

Beautiful, very distinctive. I have been looking at the later models that were built for Hargrave.

Hi, Regina! I just bought a 1982 52' Midnight Lace called Southern Lace and would greatly love to purchase a set of plans for her. My Lace is on records as CHLGW0140782 and the coast guard numbers are USCG 920299 but I can't find any coast guard history with that number, which is odd. It's printed on the inside of the battery compartment on the stern and on my purchase papers. On the panel by the wheel, it says Hull #016 though it appears that was an aftermarket engraving. Would you by chance also know where on the Laces she might have her serial numbers posted? I didn't know what I bought when I bought the Lace and was already in love with her. Then I found the stories of your husband and these beautiful boats and fell more deeply in love! I'm in the process of a restoration since she has sat for a while in obscurity at a marina that wasn't very accessible when Lake Travis was in drought. Any help you could give would be so needed for this labor of love! Thanks in advance! Victoria

    Hi Regina,

I just purchased Belle Noire, 1983, like this week. We have a number of electrical issues. I am looking for wiring diagrams, engine & fuel system and plumbing diagrams. Original publications, hull blue prints, anything that can be of help. We love this vessel. We will keep her in South Florida. Any help would be appreciated.

    To All,

It is my pleasure to join this stream and announce that, for some years now, Ullberg Yacht Design, Inc. has been the official custodian and caretaker for all things Tom Fexas Yacht Design. By this I mean that I manage the "living archive" of all of the Tom Fexas projects,....i.e. drawings, engineering information, etc. If anybody needs anything "LACE", feel free to contact me and I'll help you as best I can. Understand however, that it takes some $$ to maintain the archive so there will be costs associated with anything that is distributed to a request.

A bit of update on the Lace I bought few months ago. All the mechanics, engines, shafts and others have been checked. The sea trial went very well. We are now in the process to put the front windows back... A lot of work left, but the folks at Gratitude marina in Rock Hall have been great.

We have a lot of work to do on the inside, removed everything and nearly start from scratch. As some have written in former posts, it is a low beam boat so a bit tricky to reshape. Considering how boat equipments have progressed, we hope to do something nice. She deserves it.

I think I remember her being in the Stuart FL area, owned by Bill Watson, then I heard she was in Va or Md at a yard with interior stripped.

That's might be her, Maldwin. She was stocked for 6 years in a warehouse in PA. We will make back to life. Do you have any contact details on Bill Watson?
    Thanks
