Yes, I believe "Evel Eye II" (now "Bottomline") was owned by Mr. Knievel at one time (lost in a card game?).
The photo shown here however doesn't quite match up with "Bottomline" due to missing side rail supports amidship and missing smoke stack.
    More Roamer mysteries?
    Cheers!

Thanks Eric... hoping to stir the pot a bit....lol

    No Comet 27 .. its a 36' Riv

These hulls are beautiful pieces of marine engineering .....designed on the drawing boards first (primarily wrt design parameters.).. then made in the shop..unlike some (most all) of the work boats ive been on that were simply made ( cost being primary) from existing sheet..and design being a secondary consideration.

I had been given quotes of 60k just to make an al hull like that today...i believe more..

anyway..shame to see them used as glorified house boats or motorhomes for the water...

Lets not take what we have for granted...

All the best to all of you and yours..

    Alloyed,

Is that your Roamer or know anything about it? It looks like the Millennium Eagle that was for sale in St Louis last year. I was curious if it ever sold.

Oops I didn't get that right. I'll give an up date on where I'm at with the 46 I'm working on.
Did major sand blasting last year two coats of inter protect.(i have to work up 6coats,but two keeps the steel from rusting on the dry) chased some rust thru, up the port side at center line.
Upper rub rail on the port side. Currently changing from 32 volt to 12 volt. Does any body want 32 volt starters, alternators, big charger? You can have it for shipping or come and get them. Still have a long way to go but i can see light at the end of the tunnel.

Here a Question I have been wanting to ask. What has been done for water intake scoop strainers? My old ones were just a mass of rust. I have cut wedge shaped scoops out of 1' plastic, with removable stainless screens. Planning on thru bolting them on with stainless bolts. (2 3/4" intakes) I was hoping marlon was made in that size but haven't been able to find them.

Marlon would be great, but nothing past alumInium (as the british say).
Seriously, nothing more noble (read galvanic corrosion) than the hull.
For example, CC Roamer rudders were made out of low grade steel - very close to AL on the galvanic scale.
Do NOT use bronze scoops, etc.
    Cheers!

Yes I have the complete 32volt system, I know somebody would want it. I don't know the brand name it looks fairly new, well newer. I'll look next time i'm on the boat. Transportation is a problem, I get to Panama city one/twice a year.

    Hello,

The pictures of this boat are beautiful but I haven’t seen it in person. I started a thread about it and got a response from a person who has seen it. You might contact him.
