    Yep
Had survey & trials scheduled from Laud Boat Yard.
Had some deliveries scheduled thru Jax.

Seems FEC bridges; FtLaud & Jax are out to mess up my schedules set many weeks ago.
Ah, the best laid plans; torpedoed in two places.

I wish we had some stiff backs in Jax, FEC is closing down the whole StJohns river (AGAIN). Including for emergency vessels.

This entire train fiasco of All Aboard Florida is going to be a remarkable experiment in spending and losing large amounts of money and inconveniencing boaters and businesses in many locations constantly.

If the train had to go then there were plenty of other ways and places to run it. If these bridges had to be used and repaired then plenty of ways less damaging to make the repairs than 11 days during season and during a boat show. From the beginning, All Aboard Florida has shown itself to be inconsiderate of all others. I personally will never board the train under any circumstances. The economic studies are about as useless as can be, based on projections that will never be met. Much like economic studies justifying stadiums and arenas. There were not people clamoring for this.

I believe All Aboard Florida should be liable for all the economic losses suffered by these businesses, but they didn't figure that into their economic justification. Unfortunately, this train will continue to cost these businesses on an ongoing basis, not just this one time. The more times boats find themselves held and unable to pass, the less inclined they will be to use these marine providers. There will be large queues of boats waiting and there will be boats damaged over time.

We all know bridges need to be repaired at times but this incident shows a continued disregard in this project for the boaters, but worse for the businesses that people depend on to make their living. I'm equally disappointed that the authorities just rubber stamped the requested closing. It's not like the boating seasons are secret or like the Miami boat show just scheduled. What if next time they choose to do this during FLIBS?

There is a new rail bridge on the New River under the I-95 overpass.
    Who's rail is that?

    Tri-RAIL uses the I-95 one.

I agree 100% with Olderboater. I do not see All Aboard Florida being used by many people at all. It's stops don't make sense either. I also agree the New River is going to be a mess and I think I read somewhere that, that bridge will be down for 20 minutes at a time at least once or twice an hour. The New River is going to be a nightmare and mess for a train that will never be successful.

But as for the boatyards, your choices of boat yards outside of the New River in Broward County are getting less and less and those are pretty full.
