We arrived Monday 1:30pm per load-in schedule. From 17th St bridge to dock was 2.5 hours. On generator 4 days until shore power was on-line finally on Thursday at 5:00pm.

Any explanation from them? Any idea from you of why no shore power? Not like these are marinas on the Eastern Coast of Costa Rica or something. Where were you located?

Almost at the east coast of Costa Rica ...Las Olas Marina.

We were probably the last dock to get power (Thursday) then we had a bad breaker. Got it handled with electrical crew on the dock.

Show Management has 75 year round full time employees and something like 400 temps, but apparently nobody to answer the phone.

Obviously they've spread themselves way too thin. 5 Boat Shows. Trade shows and convention services. Tents and Structures. Concessions. Trade show displays, carpeting, booth furnishings, their own electrical services management they say. I get the impression they're trying not to farm things out. I've been involved with various trade shows over the years and what you're describing would never have been accepted/tolerated by people showing. The other thing I see is lack of organization of the various sites and lack of promotion of each site. Bahia Mar gets attention but what about the Convention Center or the other marinas? I'm glad to hear the traffic was good on Thursday and Friday and I've heard some vendors claim to have had very good sales. I hope they'll seriously address their issues.

Actually, I did take this pic at FLIBS last Sunday. Google "Vicem classic 80". Some of us appreciate simple pictures that emphasize particular desgin features, rather that touristy pics with a bunch of info that most us already know about

BTW, here´s another pic I took at FLIBS, again, without any info but there´s a hint about the builder on one of the boats.

That's a great pic SMR. I bet if you emailed it to Hatteras they'd probably put it on their website!

That's pretty piss poor considering the show is open Thursday. You have the noise, smell, and hull dirtiness of the generators and could be a HUGE CO problem as the exhausts are in such close proximity on some boats and sandwiched hull to hull. Also, it's expected that you would need electricity to get the boats ready.

Temp docks. Built row by row after boats pulled in. Then water and power had to be run. Including transformers, breaker panels, everything. I believe everyone on Las Olas temp docks ran on generator up to start of show including part of Thursday. And yes everyone was complaining.

Usually the power is already attached to these docks with quick disconnects on each end of them and they just plug them in as they go or right after they're attached.

You might want to check that. It was just discussed on a different thread you were on the other day. I learned something new to me. You should have also. These are diesel gens.

Diesel gens put out considerably less CO than gas, but it still can be a problem if there is enough of it. But if you have the exhaust of a gen trapped between 2 boats sandwiched together and it starts getting into a porthole or something, it could potentially be an issue.
