Yesterday I sea trialed this boat equipped with DD 6v92 with 625hp each. It's a great riding boat but I was surprised at the performance numbers, they seem off to me.
Going by the Furuno GPS onboard
    cruising speed was 17-18knts @ 1900rpm
    WOT speed was 21.8knts @ 2350rpm
The sellers listing showed 26knt cruise and 30knt WOT
Does anyone have any knowledge as to what the numbers should be on this boat?

Also any opinions (good or bad) about this boat?

With that kind of horsepower in that size boat, I'd have expected the seller's numbers to be closer to reality. Was the hull clean? Running gear? Tachs correct?

1250hp total. RPM's were checked at the motors and the hull was clean.
The dry weight of the boat is 38595

Did you trim the boat with the trim tabs?

What are rated WOT RPMs for 6V92 engines? 2350? Or...?

    I think something off also.

And how shallow was the water?
History of propeller work? Could be undersized props for a loaded boat.
Look over your engine survey; No load max rpm? and loaded max rpm. If the same the props are not loaded to their potential.

Oh, Fuel flow (Flowscan, DDEC) equipment on board?

I see what appears to be the same boat - interior/exterior photos are identical, sold as PROVOKER in 2003 with 6V92 specs showing as 535hp.

I think it takes the DDEC version to get up into the 625 HP rating and from the listing photos it appears they are not?

We tested a couple of these boats and both ran 2000 to 2100 making 24 knots. Both had towers. The other had Manns made 25 to 26 ar cruise. They need a fair bit of tab to bring up the speed.

I purchased the boat and what I've learned so far is that the engines are not 625's. I have not found the injector numbers yet so I can tell the hp rating of the DD's. From the paper work from the factory it appears they are the 535's. I had the bottom redone and prop speed coated all rudders, shafts, props, etc. The fuel tank and fuel were polished. Now with a full tank of fuel (525gls) and being able to play with the tabs (she liked a lot of tab) I was able to get 20 to 21kts at 1900rpm and 25 to 26 at WOT 2350rpm. She rode smooth in a 2-3foot chop the engines stayed around 175 degrees when up and running.
I am very happy with how she's running, fires right up, no smoke. She needs some TLC and the wife and I have been showing her some love. The sectional sofa is getting new skin, the floors have been polished, all new linens, new blinds, window tint and recovered bolster pads. The nice thing about this is that the wife and I love the water, we like having projects, we have a weekend retreat to go too, and we love to fish.

    Hi Guys,
Since I purchased the boat I have been doing a lot of cleaning up old wiring, upgrading electronics, new canvas, pumps, seals, LED lights, interior décor, underwater lights, etc. Just giving her some TLC. The wife and I took her out a couple of weeks ago for her first fishing trip of the year and managed a couple of small gaffer dolphin. We've been very happy with our purchase and have really enjoyed spending our weekends showing her some love. Attached are a few pictures of some of the progress.

That was a pretty slick helm layout that you came up with. I like how you reused the space. Can you see the flat mounted Furuno TZT well? Thinking about it, I bet its rather easy to work that unit in its horizontal orientation.

It's definitely not as vivid of a picture as the vertical but I can read it just fine (as you can see in the picture). If I lean over that way just a little it's perfect. My thought is to raise the top/back edge up about 1/2 inch using a wedged cut piece of starboard. If I do that I will post additional pictures.
