I've seen shots on IG from her stern and that definitely is not very flattering for her. Have to see what she looks like overall when the mast is installed.

In real life she really has the wow factor.

The last feadship that impressed me was "Tango" but I have a new favorite.

"Savannah" has now started her first round of sea trials... this video depicts her heading out in foggy conditions.

What's with this latest trend of disproportionately small freeboard? First Royal Romance and now Savannah... both with an aft end that looks like it was designed by a different person than whoever styled the front half of the yacht.

Yep same thing I said yesterday about Royal Romance in that thread about the extra deck overemphasizes the low freeboard. And their beam looks quite slender compared their LOA... you can see it on Symphony as well. But I believe this more has to do with the lock and bridge width constraints in the Netherlands for transport the ensures designers can't give the boats the proper beam. Let the people (owner) build at OceAnco or something and stop mashing up the designs.

Marinetraffic shows that she got up to 13.4 knots while on her outing.

    "Proper beam"?
Most of these yachts are excessively beamy, and are incredibly draggy because of it and require much more powerful engines than would otherwise be needed. Modern anti-roll devices limit the need for such beam as well.

The low freeboard may be an attempt to get closer to the water. A larger ship gives you more amenities, but you keep creeping further and further from the water as your volume grows.

Interesting to see Savannah back near Alasmeer in Westpoort , Amsterdam after builders trials?
    Christening perhaps?

A visualization of perhaps what "Savannah's" underwater beachclub will be like.

So is this really supposed to be a rendering of her window?

Yep, but in reality... the yacht has a couple vertical frames in that window on the portside. It is apparent in the seatrial vid you can see the frames dragging on the water. So i'm sure the view won't look a pristine as this... but i'm sure underwater lighting will help it at night!

Savannah still is sitting in Westpoort in the commercial port of Amsterdam and hasn't been delivered to her owners? Must be those darn pool tiles! I believe De Vries has had three deliveries since 686 launched? June 11th, and summer is slipping away...

"Symphony" launched after her and has been delivered since then and cruising around.
