16V92's when new they were rated at 1450hp. 4 inch shafts. I think the reduction is 2 to 1. 36x42 iirc. No matter, the wheels allow the engines to spin up to where they should.

After the launch no leaks and no issues. Great work by Viking; even though it was simple. No expensive either and the work was timely.

Port main inboard raw water system hoses plus the pump have been replaced. 2.5 inch main intakes plus 2 1/8 inch discharge hoses and related other hoses which cool the fuel and power steering. New hoses and a new pump and she's good to go!

    Hi,

In all the time this has been for sale has anyone shown any real interest in it?

It looks like a nice boat that is nicely maintained and I am curious as to the level of interest in what looks like a real nice boat.

    Hi,

I am under this boat has been on the market for a few years now which is what prompted my question.

The upkeep is very well done and documented so I am curious as to how much interest there has actually been.

Maybe the 16v92's scare folks off but while they might smell and smoke a bit they are a lot cheaper to rebuild and maintain than one of their European equivalents.

As K1W1 has started an interest, I can only guess how a small market ship like this plays out on the big used market.
I guess she would be in the class of other limited (near custom) build sport Fish yachts. Sales and listings that I could only drool over but know very little.

We have had a few interested folks- but the marketing of the boat has not put it in front of many people. We are close to listing her with a broker- any day now- and he's already had interest with just word of mouth. A quick search on YW shows most Donzi's of this age, size and with DD all are listed about the same asking price. As I've said before I'm surprised as well that it has not sold. The market is busy and more boats are being bought lately which is a good sign.

Sales info, Number$, Listing details and equipment can be close, personal & private information. I am sure you know we do not mean to pry or cross any line.

I think it's the narrow (special) market that interest me (others also) and maybe a reflection on how well the market is doing.

If there could be any info that you could pass on that would not impose on you or the next owner, I (we) would appreciate it.

Thank you for your comments regarding your pending listing. Good luck and best wishes.

The listing will be public soon and I'll post all the data here which goes into that. You say it's a special market- and that confuses me a bit. If you want a sportfish I would think you'd look at many different types of SF's- Viking, Hatteras, Jarret Bay + other Carolina boats, Ocean etc. The major breaks in types are Carolina and non Carolina. Non Carolina boats tend to have more interior room for the length and less bow flare. The Roscioli Donzi s have more interior and upper deck space than just about any other SF save Sea Force IX- which is built by a ex RD person. If you want the upper deck space on the 65 Sea Deuce you'd need to buy a 74 Viking or a 77 Hatteras. We have more salon space and less stateroom space by % than other non Carolina boats IIRC- who really spends lots of time in the staterooms? Anyways I'll be posting more pics and info as it comes.

Excellent comments. I was thinking of a Carolina comparison. Now my thoughts are a bit more correct.
    Thank you.
