It had to be exciting to catch that unusual creature. Imagine the mate trying to ID it for the Captain! But I gotta say, compared to its full colored brethren, its pretty ugly?

I just clicked on that link and my Norton jumped into action. I'm no geek, but be careful with that link.

    Very cool fish.

Strange, I'm not getting a warning. The link is to Marlin Magazine, so it should be relatively safe, sans big fish stories...

My FREE security, that works jolly well, allows it to run.

    Meh!

White marlin. Caught 60 odd in a one month spell in Venezuela. What's new?

    Nice fishing!

I shot Norton in the head 14 years ago! Since then, I don't use any kind of security other than reading the link before I cilck, if trusted then I go ahead, if not, I enter it in the search bar of Yahoo! or Google, if it is bad it will be flagged. Worked for me well that the system I use to access YachtForums is up on the same XP service pack 2 installation since new (2006) with only 1-2 power cylces a month to keep the operating system from going mad!!

Update your browser's plug-ins and all should be okay.

    Cheers,

Any way. What about that fish? Looks like it was dragged from 4,000 feet below??

My AVG anti-virus went nuts on that page as well! On my lap top and my I-Pad. Strange.

I really think that link needs to be pulled. Is it on a different site?

I had no problem with the link and I've got enough security hardware to click on a North Korean website. Google 'Albino Marlin' (I know it's not) and you'll get pages of alternate sites.

Funny thing is I have always had to bypass my security to access YachtForums.

    Hi,

Same here, Avast Pro actually describes it as a safe site.

I'm assuming you had to relax your browser security settings to allow 3rd party cookies?

ID'ing it is easy. A white Marlin has much different Pectorial fins than a Blue or Black Marlin.

This is the offending IP Address.

Thanks for posting. The fact this marlin survived to adulthood with this colour added to being hooked up are incredible.
