Check out this Russian Military ship that ran up on a beach on plane Russian ship breaches on popular sunbathing shore - Video on TODAY.com
I think it is a Hovercraft also, but it did not say. However, did you see the people scrambling for their lives. They said it was a military beach, but one would think that Military personel would clear the beach before something that big would run onto it at 30 knots.
You must have missed it from the link text: Vacationers scrambled along a beach in Western Russia when an “amphibious landing craft” known as the Bison charged onto the sand. The Russian military says that the beach is actually located on the property of a military firing range and that the ship was out for a standard training exercise. No injuries were reported.
I caught the beach is a military firing range. I wonder though, do they shoot .50 caliber and missles at the beach also without alerting anyone or checking to see if the beach is empty. It's obvious judging by the 1000 people on the beach, that everyone has used it as "the beach" for a long time.
If 1000 people trespassed on your front yard would that make it o k when you pushed a few out of the driveway coming home? It's obvious were not getting the whole story here and I'm not defending the ruskie navy, But if they were really on a military reservation (Goat Island?) then push them out of the way (think they did). Slow news day, somebody had to report something. More fun than reporting a gas attack.
