Hi guys, my name is Albert and I'm a new member here from Curacao.
I'm 19 and Love boats and fishing.
This is why I want to study to become a Naval Architect and boat builder.

Anyway, I was searching for more info on Bertram and Hatteras models just to know a bit more but I can't find anything.

Can anyone help me out ?

Thanks in advance and tight lines.

Ok so here comes the first question.

What is the difference between the Hat 45 series 2 and
    the Hat 46 series 1 and 2 ?

Which of them has a better ride and fishability ?

There is a book out on the History of Bertram covering all of the years from inception to present ownership (or close) ... complete with photos. It's a great book and should be on the coffee table of any Bertram owner.

So, these questions can become much like who is your favorite team, the Packers or the 49ers, etc.

But I will take my shot - the 46-s1 is a better boat than the 45-s2, there were not a lot of 46-s2 boats built, so by their success (or lack there of), I would still go for the 46-S1. 45-s2 is wet, too full in the bow, and can be quite a pounder in the right conditions.

All that being said, a 46 Bert is better on ride and fishability, maybe not so much on looks ;). It can be a bit of a puke machine at rest, especially in your waters, but not so much of an issue when underway and just keep her moving while landing all those troll caught fish.

Neither of the two are as good as the older 44 Pacifica's we have out West, but that is another story. Keep in mind that most of these boats are really just 20 -22 knot speedsters, with a few of them having the higher hp packages or recent repowers to more modern diesels.

    Alright, thankyou for the reply.

Never heard of the pacifica brand but I hope it's as nice looking as the Hatt.

I feel like agreeing with you on the Bertram because it has a wider beam but I have read that they're heavier.

    Thanks again and tight lines.

    46 hp

I was on another forum today and they kept mentioning a model called the 46HP

Than after someone said 46HP 2

Could they be talking about the 46 series 2 ?
