That's a bit shocking. Not surprising that it is POA as well. I wonder if project Victory in build at Fincantieri is a successor, probably not but my mind it just running wild.

My impression is these gigayachts are too expensive to maintain even for billionaires, unless you have oil or gas. Al Salamah was sold relatively quickly recently, to an African dictator´s son, but Serene and Eclipse will probably go to the middle east.

That is very logical..it is also the general thought that yachts cost 10 to 15% their build cost to maintain per year or so...

It is amazing the cash, liquid dollars, that these many times very prudent investors pour into depreciating assets (these yachts). And a lot of them spend, what, a month in total, maybe two, per year aboard them.

I wonder if some of these -- the 100+ meter monsters, the Russian & Saudi toys -- get traded as well, within packages of other items, land, equity, mineral rights, etc., as Adnan Khashoggi did with a few of his yachts, I believe, or have their fees paid by 3rd parties, like the slush fund that BAE created to curry favor with the Saudi's.

"Serene" is leaving the Caribbean bound for Panama. Staying in Panama or transiting the locks to the West Coast of the U.S?

According to its agent, Serene charters for €3,750,000, or $4,900,000 per week. Not bad!

    Hi,
yes for the moment I have uploaded only one pic. I have a lot of work to finish before coming back to Italy, I went out only one evening to take pictures of the ship. I'll post something new once back to my home. Unfortunately is moored, so it's not easy to find a good point of view to shot it.

Thank you so much! I would like to show you a special "function" of the external lighting but.... it will be for the next time I will be onboard. :)
