    ROLL CALL:
Who's hitting up Miami for the shows this week? There's the Yacht and Brokerage show on Collins Ave where all the big floaters are located. Sea Isle Marina at the Marriott Biscayne Bay is where the in water portion of the Boat Show is held. Head to the Convention Center to see more boats, vendors, supplies and everything else boating related.
I'll only be there a few days but do plan on hauling the camera gear for some shots to share back with YF friends.
    See you at the show.

The Miami Boat Show and Yacht & Brokerage Show both kicked off on Thursday, under sunny skies. But the weather quickly turned and has since been downright ugly with stormy clouds and rain. Did I mention the rain?
Thanks to the Florida "liquid sunshine", I have been limited to photos, and no night shots yet of the show (but did get a few of downtown Miami from my hotel room).
    So let's get underway...

The view of the Miami Boat show in-water display from the Marriott at Sea Isle Marina.

View looking east. That's Government Cut where the cruise ships come in.

Marlow Yachts display. The aqua-green hull is the new 66E Explorer.

Boats were all over, in the water...and on land.

Does this Ferrari have an odd number of cylinders?

Off course you can't have a boat show without exotic "I can't afford those either!" cars.

Another entry from Beneteau, the Barracuda.

How many more hull windows can they get in this Pershing?

    This woody gave me a...splinter!

    Woody by Windsor Craft.

Guess this yacht was out trolling for jet skis. Or that's how the yacht goes in reverse.

I hate it when someone's tendder is bigger than any boat I have owned. That's a Millenium 75 footer.

That's a lot of teak steps to keep clean.

Between drops I ran down to take a closer look at the Marlows. M/Y Sea Foam is the boss' new ride.

Marlow took over several defunct brands. Here's the new Marlow Mainship, built right here in Florida (up north).

Shot of downtown Miami with low flying clouds.

    Looking east from the balcony.

    Boats at night.

Saturday should be a better day weather wise so will be hanging by the large yachts. Maybe get in a few night shots before the temps drops down to the 40-degree mark. Stay warm if coming down.

I like the sea foam hull on the Marlow and the matching dinghy is a nice touch. It's got kind of a retro thing going and I think it looks great.

I wish them the best with the Mainship line. Don't know where their price point will be but I think there's a lot of opportunity in the small trawler back-to-basics boating demo. I'm sure they will elevate the brand - but it takes sales volume to make a profit on small boats.

Thanks for the photos. Those night shots are great.

    Thanks CaptTom

Your photos are terrific and make up for the fact a lot of the members are not able to visit the major boat shows in the world.
    Much appreciated!

Really like the colors of the downtown area, even though it's cloudy and rainy it still looks fresh.

The MARLOW has a daring color. I like the design, but the interiors always seem a bit outdated.

Enjoy the rest of your stay...............and if you have any time left.........more pictures are always welcome......:)

Sadly, opening day of the show fell on Valentine's Day. I thought it appropriate to take a shot of Tom's date that night...

And of course, being the true romantic that he is, he brought along a good book for later that evening...
