    Yes, the Phi-Phi islands, pronounced Pee-Pee, are between Phuket and the Andaman Sea. They also filmed The Beach there, so is now full of gap year backpackers trying to be Leonardo Dicraprio. :)

    While we were there in the late 80's, on the 65m HDW 'Katalina', the Skipper bought one of those wooden longboats with a Yanmar longtail motor (it was a very good night out :cool: ). We cruised around the islands and hardly saw another soul there. Beautiful.

    Afterwards, we picked the boat up with the crane and put it on the Heli-deck. We used it back in the Med to thump around Monaco while dressed as Thai fishermen/women until the Port Captain told us to p*ss off for making too much noise. It now lives in Antigua.

    actually mine's the only pershing 80 in asia now since my buddy sold his and upgraded to the 92 ... 10 knots slower ...
