Those 'recent' pictures were taken at least 8 weeks ago.

A fellow member told me that "Topaz" is scheduled to depart tomorrow but there are some warranty, repair and alteration works left so she will come back to Lürssen in May.

I still owe a picture of Topaz with her lowered mast.
Her 10 exhaust pipes are 'foldaway' as well.

Thanks for posting it... "Topaz" looks so shiny on your picture!

Wow, I did not know that her mast and pipes could fold. Maybe that would help clean the mast easier too instead of having to climb it precariously.

Maybe Topaz looks shiny because she was shiny :D .

Indeed the mast is always folded down for cleaning but mainly it is for passing underneath a particular bridge. There's another picture:

Yeah I figured it was for primarily passing under 'low bridges'. But I for one if I were crew onboard would welcome that. Perhaps this is why the primary radar is on a station by itself and not on the mast itself because the other radars on the mast would be of no use when it is folded and would be turned off when someone is cleaning the mast. Just my rationale.

I really really really love this yacht....I love her design and its ability to keep the yacht from looking extremely bloated....yes, she is indeed a large yacht but still, very graceful and lovely!

    Cheers,

Hehe Mate, I am sorry I did not realize that I would destroy your dreams!
But I can tell you that "ACE" is currently crossing the Atlantic heading to Palm Beach, I know "ACE" is not "Topaz" but I hope you are a bit satisfied now! :)

Well "ACE" would be nice if it were to come here but Palm beach is 1200 miles from here :)

It doesn't look like Topaz will be going to see her first Formula One race, she is still in Tarragona, in the port which was recently bought by Qatar and which is home to most of their fleet of megayachts. Looks like they get along well, Qatar and Abu Dhabi.

Are there any photos of Topaz's main tenders? Never saw them.

You mean the Solas tenders midships on the upper deck? or you mean the other tenders that would be on the main aft deck?

I posted a link to the SOLAS tenders on one of the first pages... I was reliable told the tenders on the aft deck are Vikal limousines but I do not see pics of them on their website.
