Well, to be a little precise, there is no efficiency realized by a non-flared bow until you are in seas such that the upper flared area becomes part of the wetted surface area, ie, high seas. It is not the axe bow that provides speed, it is the aluminum construction weight savings and length to beam ration.

I have spoken with several operators onboard one of these vessels and they say it is "severely wet" in even the calmest conditions wherein the water slaps the bow and pops straight into the air and the yacht drives into her own spray.

Just makes no sense for a vessel that is intended to transport and protect high-value, fragile cargo.

One of the most unique features of the Apple design is the wrap around bow window. The Feadship exhibit at FLIBS had a model of their latest concept yacht showing the same window detail including the wrap around bow window. One of the reps said that we will be seeing this feature very shortly in a production yacht.

You know, the more I see pictures of the "Apple" boat the more I am starting to like Venus. I think it will be cool to see more of her soon.

I think the bow leading edge is polished stainless steel and the windows stop at it. But it creates an illusion of the hull ending before it, in some of the pictures.

It certainly looks like an architectural students boat design project... and the realization... appears as a model... not a real boat.

And, it proves money overcomes all sense.

I must admit that in real life "Venus" looks really cool!!!!

Somehow in pictures it looks plump, but when your standing in front of her the lines are really sharp and make sense.

What a beautiful hull shape! At around the 10, 46, and 51 marks you can see through the hull and get a good sense of the size of Albert's "pipe salon". The space from the bow to the anchor mechanical room, or about 3 sections of glass is completely open from side to side creating a unique first in yacht design.

I can hardly wait to see pics and/or video taken from inside of the "pipe room" looking forward underway at speed. All the excitement of the Titanic bow first experience but with out freezing or getting soaked!

Looks like a c-rappy genius bar.

Albert would undoubtedly be smoking Prince Albert in a can!!
