Oh, something a little racy or something sort of traditional...or a mix of in between

    Cheers,

    Refitting time

First out is the 80m ‘Wave’ concept. She’s now 86m with some extensions done to the hull and superstructure. Some overall adjustments have been done to better suit the new dimensions.

Second out is the 74m concept, now extended to 87m.
Guest cabins now include balconies and the windows on the main and bridge decks are floor to ceiling.

Refit nr 4. The first 85ft. concept in this thread, now 95ft. and slightly modified with a quadruple set of IPS 1200´s.

  8. ^ do you know what i most like in this design... the appealing of figoni & falaschi shapes of the 30ies, streamlined and refine touch of colored parts' round details.

Yes MKM you’re right there are some similarities, it wasn’t intentional though :)

Perhaps the design is an entirely different matter in combination with a free standing rotating mast with a wing sail and canting keel?

100m… 200m… Heck, why not 400m? Well, I know it doesn’t bear much resemblance of the typical yacht, but when you’re planning that private and quiet weekend in that remote and secluded place with 6000 of your closest friends, you’re probably going to need some space, right?

Ordinarily I'm not turned on by those very cury lines and portlights in many of the modern power yacht designs,....BUT Kajan you have a way of making them all look VERY GOOD. :)

The tumblehome transom and "sky-lounge" up top still are very iconic RCCL design cues though.

There are definitely some RCCL design cues in the design, I’m a great admirer of the RCCL fleet.
The Finnish flag in the first design is a discrete tribute to the people at the STX yard in Finland.
  19. Of course the Sky Lounge is a RCCL invention, but every modern cruise ship and ferries today use them, for example, MSC and Napoleon Bonaparte. But even you try to push to concurrent Carnival and subsidiary Cunard, for me it is still RCCL, though I see the side ornaments from a Starward or Flamenco era. Do you thought a name like DREAM OF THE SEAS to her ? :D

The temperature outside is 21 degrees C below zero and on the recent theme of doing refits to some of my old designs, I thought I would run the explorer concepts by you guys again. No major changes in this case just some minor details and a suitable environment. ‘Arctic rendezvous’.
