    1. It has been suggested that increasing levels of carbon dioxide, a byproduct of burning fossil fuels, has contributed to the rising global temperature.

    2. Excessive carbon dioxide relative to the oxygen supply isn't healthy. If you don't believe me, ask the people who run their cars with the garage door still down--except that might be difficult, since so many of them end up dead. Maybe those fumes are unhealthy. It certainly isn't because of the pine-tree air freshener handing from the rear-view mirror.

    1. OK, Carbon Dioxide is contributing to rising temperatures, so far about 0,35 °C in 150 years. This is not really environmental damage.

    2. Carbon Monoxide is not healthy.

Let us not forget the Life Cycle:

Excessive carbon dioxide = stop breathing or plant more trees, your choice.

Touche, it is carbon monoxide--which we can all recognize as a byproduct of burning petroleum.

Carbon dioxide is still unhealthy in high concentrations and the relative increase of carbon dioxide in relation to the percentage of oxygen appears to be rising. I know someone will say, "we don't have enough proof upon which to base any changes in our behavior." The problem with this line of thinking is that if we wait for definitive proof, it could be the very damage we fear.
