Shipy102 . Thanks for posting the great photo of the new Feadship. This will probably be the closest I get to seeing the real thing so once again Thanks.

Ya very nice indeed. Not sure if you would agree but the aft decks kind of look similar to Tatoosh. Her lines are very different from other Fedships that I have seen.

"ECSTAsea" is available for charter through hillrobinson! No interior pics at the moment though...

Wasn't this RA's first yacht designed from the ground up? Probably liked Pelorus so had it modeled after that. I'm just curious as to the lack of the mention of the helicopter hanger.

Perhaps it's being used as a tender storage (probably for the 6m Pascoe).

I wonder what the deal is with it. Is it not safe or practical? I don't think I have ever seen a helicopter on it and have only seen it open in a couple photos after launch and that one 3D animation with it.

It's hard to find photos of that heli garage you speak of. I think I have only seen one or two photos showing the deck sliding off to the sides of the bow to create the void for the heli to go up or down.

Watch Ecstasea's movie on Feadship website. You can see the hangar in operation (between 0:19 and 0:23).

Thanks for that. It seems practical. I'm surprised it wasn't used or advertised much. I mean, the system is probably a pretty similar one that is used on Eclipse and Serene but I want to say that the sliding doors that protrude out are more load bearing than that on the aforementioned vessels. I look at yachts like Palladium, Mayan Queen, and others with the crew tenders stored in the bow and, especially in the case of Palladium, I think a helicopter hanger like this would be fairly practical if helicopter use is required for the owner.

Even when the yacht was owned by RA, that hangar was called "the most expensive toy garage in the world", and bearly used for its purpose. By tha way, the yacht was supposedly called "vomit-commit" by the crew because of vibrations while under way. That yacht has some issues, its propulsion package was very dearing.

Interior pictures of Ecstasea have been published long ago. The designer is the same one as Pelorus, but Ecstasea has a japanese theme, rather oriental, unlike the relaxed beach house concept of Pelorus.

I guess the vibrations are part of the package for such a quick yacht!
