Since there was no thread dealing with Codecasa yachts in general, I created on for this sole purpose.

To start things off, is a new name to a not so new yacht...
The yacht built as "Iliki VIII" back in 2005 went through a number of name changes. She was last known as "Enjoy" but currently goes by the name "Ester II".

I would like to have more info on that disaster.

Isn't Main the Armani yacht? Or is it some other fashion designer. I really like the interior though.

    Yes MAIN is his.

Regarding the "Framura 2" I only found out about that fender-bender today. She won World Superyacht Award in her category in 2011, certainly wont win anything for that, her captain at least.

Personally, I think Mariu was much much nicer, inside AND out....

Main is overly modern and not at all intimate... and I hate all so called "traditional" interiors, but this is overdoing it... looks too industrial imho...

"Mariu" would have been more intimate because she was a smaller yacht but her interiors were lighter than on the MAIN..She seems very dark and dungeon-ish, that's just my opinion.

Hi YN, I agree fully... IMO few yachts above 50m have really nice and somewhat intimate feeling to them, Ice being my personal favorite clocking in at a whopping 90m...

In terms of Codecasa yachts, the recent vintage series launch is the most beautiful imo... Cantieri Navali Codecasa - Costruzione F.73 - Serie "Vintage" Looks kind of like a "beach house"... similar a bit to Heesen's Celestial Hope (one of the pretiest interiors around in my opinion)

Actually you are quite right! Her interior really is a sophisticated beach-house feel. Almost a cross between beach house and cottage styled interior. One other yacht that jumps to mind with this kind of interior is the "Northern Star" by Lurssen. Even though her's is not as glamourous as she is a much larger yacht. However, some of the larger yachts do have surprisingly intimate feel to them, take for example the new Feadship "Musashi". The same could not have been said for the owner's previous yacht, "Rising Sun".

Thanks for the link on NS! I hadnt seen her interior... Nice, although personally I prefer when it pulls a bit more the the modern, she is a much better model of what I like than many other of the large yachts with their so called "traditional" (read: gold, velvet, red, green, 1600's look) decors... I wonder if ppl who owns these "traditional" yachts have houses with decorations to match... Yikes!!! ;)

Mariu is nice... Almost too modern, but just manages to be almost cosy, if you understand what I mean...

obviously looks are debatable and if someone built it, they must like it...more power to them! :D

The owner's of the above-linked yacht "Framura 2" are apparently the same owners for the new Codecasa C50s 50-meter Express currently in-build at Codecasa for delivery in 2013. I guess Framura 2 will be sold then.

Ah, cruising the ICW just South of the Savannah River through the incomparably beautiful Low Country of Georgia.

I love YF and YT because posts like this enable me to travel the world from the comfort of my arm chair for the cost of an internet connection. Thanks YN for the great videos!

The building seen at 11 sec in the first video and at the 2:14 mark of the second video is the location talked about here http://www.yachtforums.com/forums/general-yachting-discussion/7303-global-ship-systems-closes.html#post46012

I can remember rolling around Thunderbolt when Palmer Johnson was emblazoned on the side and roof of that building and big PJs were everywhere.

Now the sites are doing business as Thunderbolt Marine offering full repair and refit services as well as a full service marina.

Their website boasts "A long standing tradition of fresh Krispy Kreme doughnuts and a newspaper delivery to your vessel each morning makes our marina a favorite stop along the ICW, just a short distance from Historic Downtown Savannah."

By the time you leave both your yacht and your girth will have a whole new look!
