I heard IT has made it to the west coast of Florida and was awaiting a tow across the gulf from a shrimp boat ?.

I wonder how many 1000s of gallons it used to get that far.

I saw Mike at the show and asked him and apparently IT had left in the last few weeks.

Can you imagine if it had sailed up & down past the show, :D

    She's in Tarpon Springs, Fl

Hello everybody. I have been following this post for a while. While heading to dinner on the boat the other week I ran across this boat. She is in port tarpon marina, in tarpons springs Fl. Here is a pic from my cell ( sorry for the bad pic).

Wow, that jail is even closer to the water than Fort Lauderdale's.

    What are you in for?

At this rate, he might make it back to TX by 2013 if he's lucky.

I noticed that the marina put them on the fuel dock in the No Smoking area. Probably a very good idea.
BTW, how much more is it these days to work on a boat in Ft. Lauderdale than elsewhere? I can't imagine this deal being cheaper than repowering it there. Even if he has a couple of motors sitting in Texas I'd think it would have been cheaper to ship them over. This seems like moving the mountain over to where your standing instead of walking to the mountain.

I would think he's already spent as much on this jury-rig, fuel, dockage fees, motels and the like than if he just went ahead and had the repairs done in Ft. Lauderdale.

I think Mercury would rather stay WAY AWAY from this event.

    Maybe ????

Well I looked over the whole thread, might have missed it, but there was no mention of anyone ever telling someone from TEXES that "your dumber than a bag of hammers and you can't do that".:D

I'll leave the flow of conversation to each ones own thinking, but there's a point where logic and expense go out the window.:)

"Don't you dare say I can't do that" game on!!

That happens on the first happiest day in every boater's life.
