Bought a 1978 cuddy cabin model with a 305. Told they are rare, but doesn't matter will never sell it. Looking for photos, information, etc. to help in my restoration. Boat is in VG condition, and I used it last season. This season am updating electronics, doing some motor work, etc. before she goes back in. Great little boat. Also looking for the center console model if anyone knows of one. I know, a sickness ..... Thanks
He who dies with the most toys, wins! Here is a photo of a 22' Chris Tournament 1979 Center Console that I restored. They are very sweet running, now collectible boats. There's nothing quite like that reliable, straight inboard, V-8 power.
Here is the link to the Craigslist ad, 22" Chris Craft Cutlass fishing boat My apologies, I'm on my iPad otherwise I would post the pics here.
Those Chris Craft Cutlass' are great boats. My good friend has had a 1976 Cutlass for years and we have put hundreds of hours on her fishing, wake surfing and going to Catalina Island. He has an outboard version with an Evinrude Etec 150, makes for a nice 25 knot cruise with a 32 knot top end. They really are great running boats. The Cutlass was the main reason why I bought an 86 Chris Craft Sea Hawk 216 that I am currently in the process of restoring. I included a picture of the boats side by side. I hope I have uploaded the pictures right. I edited them in my Photobucket account to 640 but I did not want to embed the images from there. I apologize to the admin and mods if they are not uploaded properly.
unfortunately i have to disagree with you on the restoration of that chris craft "DORY". It's not a tournament. that boat was restored by my brother and i. when he sold it all that had to be done was the motor installed which was with the boat. i wish people would stop taking credit for other peoples work and get your facts straight.
