Yacht Concepts at 2023 Monaco Show
Each year new concepts are generated to be presented at the Monaco Yacht Show (MYS). In this instance we look at some of the concepts that are due to be officially unveiled and presented at this years show, which starts this week in Monaco. The first is a concept called 'WAVES' which is a 93-meter superyacht design by Spanish designer Daroca Design in collaboration with Bolidt. Yes, the Bolidt that makes flooring solutions in the maritime industry. Bolidt is part of the design mix because they are proposing their synthetic flooring solutions onboard WAVES instead of the traditional teak flooring. The synthetic decking is to be used on this design in two distinct flooring patterns but overall, the material enjoys "unlimited design possibilities". Ultimate Catamarans Introduce Spaceline 88
Ultimate Catamarans is a company based in Germany with its facilities in Croatia. The company is known for building aluminium-based catamarans from approximately 21-meters through to 45-meters. Their line of catamarans is known as the Spaceline range. The latest addition to the Spaceline range is the Spaceline 88 which is a 26.7-meter power cat. For a monohull, 26.7-meters is considered fairly small but because the vessel is a twin-hull configuration, the onboard space is significantly greater than any monohull of the same hull length...
X-Plorer Yachts Project Orion
This is the design of a 40-meter power catamaran. As far as we know it is not under construction but can be built if a client comes on board with the project. It is a 39.9-meter aluminum power cat to be built by X-Plorer Yachts based in Australia. However, it appears the yard is looking for another yard in Australia to build the project. Project Orion (GC40) as it is currently known as creates luxury living on the water across four decks and given that it is a catamaran platform, internal volume will be handy. New Astondoa Ax8 Crossover
A few months ago Astondoa revealed the Astondoa Ax8 Crossover yacht. That yacht is now making its debuts at the Autumn boat and yacht shows. The yard announced that it will be making its world premiere at the Genoa International Boat Show -which is currently underway September 21-26-. SilverCat Expanding With Two New Models
The SilverCat 36 is about to have siblings making the model a yacht range. The yard is adding two new models to the SilverCat lineup which will now have an entry-level vessel at 22-meters long and a slightly larger SC24 (23.9-meter). As you might expect, the two additions to the range will be based off the SilverCat 36 featuring design by Espen Oeino. Here is a new power cat coming from Austin Parker with design taken from Pininfarina and De Simoni. Cigarette Racing 52 Thunder
Cigarette Racing has a new boat and it is called the Cigarette 52 Thunder. In the last few years the news cycle has been preoccupied by the 59 Tirranna from this builder. It is good to see them stepping back at this juncture in terms of length and not bringing a longer boat than the Tirranna. The Thunder was introduced back in June and represents a new path forward for Cigarette Racing. It is the first boat launched since the new ownership of the company as well as the first with the new V-bottom. 35M Classic Explorer In Build By Atlante Yachts
Atlante Yachts has been working on the development of a 35-meter Classic-styled explorer yacht from the Atlante Classic Series. The yard has a series of designs including the Classic Series, Levante and Mistral. This member of the Classic Series is a 35-meter (the yard suggests that the Classic Series is from 30-meters to 27-meters so far). StellarPM Reveals SF2603 Design
A new sportfish catamaran design revealed. It is by a company called StellarPM based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The SF2603 is a step-up from StellarPM's previous StellarCAT AL2503 and is being developed between the yard and a gamefisherman. "The SF2603 was developed together with an experienced game fisherman who wanted a more stable and comfortable base boat than a traditional monohull sportsfisher could offer. His key requirements were safety, strength, superyacht luxury and the means to cruise between the great fishing grounds off Florida and the Caribbean, Belize and Nova Scotia and cruising areas much further afield when extended cruises with family and friends are in order. Cosmopolitan 77 To Be Presented At Cannes Yachting Festival
The design for the Cosmopolitan 77 is to be presented at the 2023 edition of the Cannes Yachting Festival next month. NBL103 Under Construction At Nebula Yachts
A 63.5-meter luxury motor yacht is presently under construction at Nebula Yachts. It is being built as NBL 103 and is anticipated to be completed in the Summer of 2025.
