Cruisers Yachts began with a family that already had 60 years of boat building experience. In 1953, the younger generation of the Thompson family launched Cruisers Inc. It is still based in Oconto, Wisconsin, but now has two Oconto plants and a building facility in Wilmington, North Carolina. Cruisers produces yachts from 28 to 58 feet in length, utilizing a proven 10-step manufacturing process. Almost every yacht is designed to have optional features, suting the yacht customer’s needs. The National Marine Manufacturers’ Association awarded Cruisers with the Marine Industry CSI Award for "Inboard Express Cruiser Boats" and "Inboard Flybridge Sedan/Convertible Boats," based on ongoing improvement in response to customer satisfaction levels.
